FIL-AM AMATEUR SUPER MIDDLEWEIGHT PHENOM HEADLINES YAQUI LOPEZ INVITATIONAL

STOCKTON -- The big fundraiser that all of Stockton has been waiting for is happening today, The Yaqui Lopez Amateur Boxing Invitational, ?Fight For A Cause? will headline a class selection from the Lopez stable.

Filipino/American Super Middleweight Michael ?El Mestizo? Ridgley will co-headline the big invitational at the Stockton Indoor Sports Complex. The young phenom who traces his roots from Pilar, Sorsogon Philippines is excited to showcase his skills once again.

The 16 yr. old kid has been training at the Yaqui Lopez gym for the last 3 years and has been sparring with the cream of the crop from northern California.

?El Meztizo? wants to one day represent the land of his mother in the 2016 Olympics in RIO. He admires Manny Pacquiao and Nonito Donaire as two of his boxing IDOLS.

When the young kid was asked what he knew about Philippine boxing, he said, ?I know there are a lot of good fighters from the Philippines, and I heard there are some good boxing promotions like ALA Boxing Promotions, SSG Sammy Gelo-ani Boxing Promotions, Gerry Penalosa Boxing Promotions and MP Promotions and I hope that one day I'll be able to fight for one of these promotions.?

Also headlining this event is female sensation from the Yaqui Lopez stable, Adrian ?Baby Doll? Ramirez who fights at the super featherweight level and is training hard to one day represent the USA Boxing Team in the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Also on the card from the Yaqui Lopez stable are Mario Velasquez (118 lbs), Jose Borrego (118 lbs), and Victor Mariquez (75 lbs).

The Undisputed Heavyweight ex-Champion Mike Tyson and two time world champion Tony ?The Tiger? Lopez will be at ringside.

This is another fundraiser by Yaqui Lopez, the pride of Stockton California. Lopez is in the International Boxing Hall of Fame and five time Light Heavyweight world title challenger. Lopez loves to give back to the many boxing fans with his kind heart.
