A pessimist they say is the one who sees an "O" as the last letter of the word ZERO while the optimist sees it as first letter of the word OPPORTUNITY. Either of the two, this seemed involve in the possible Manny Pacquiao-Floyd Mayweather showdown after the later finally declared his willingness to face Pacquiao in the boxing ring.
Since he has not beaten all through his career, Mayweather (47-0), maintains that immaculate record of having at "O" but assuming Pacquiao (56-5-2) defeats him if their fight happens then that "O" has got to go.
That is being too forward but that is big possibility now after Mayweather declared these words after his victorious fight with Marcus Maidana in Las Vegas, ?I don?t know who I?m fighting in May but I expect to fight in May. Manny Pacquiao needs to focus on the guy in front of him. Once he gets past him, he can look to the future. If the Pacquiao fight presents itself let?s make it happen.?
So Pacquiao must followed suit, dominate Chris Algieri in their November encounter in Macau because the Mayweather declaration has now opened up a huge opportunity for the Filipino boxing great on one hand, and the boxing fanatics on the other, to see the match which everybody is awaiting.
The result for sure in the Macau fight would be the ticket of Pacquiao in that dream fight, granting Mayweather, will be a real gentleman this time and will not back track on his readiness to square-off with the Filipino phenom, boxing's only eight-division world champion.
It will be the "Fight of the Century", indeed, between two respected boxers of their era, whom I call O.O. athletes, both "outstanding fighters" who also have "overwhelming supporters and fans from around the globe."
That again if Mayweather will not retreat just to preserve his "O" record, preventing to hear either Jimmy Lennon, Jr. or Michael Buffer to blurt, somebody's O has got to go. So there you are....let us all be optimist, view the recent pronouncement of Mayweather in bright light, see it as a great opportunity to watch what could be ultimate fight of the century. (Btw.. Manny Pacquiao has already started his light training in General Santos City for his upcoming WBO welterweight title defense against Algieri. Assistant coach Restituto "Buboy" Fernandez already arrived from Bicol while coach Fredie Roach is coming over from the U.S.A. in about a week or two.)
