Both Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista and Alex John 'Bazooka' Banal continue to spar against tough opposition at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles as they await for their trip to Puerto Rico to join Oscar De la Hoya and Freddie Roach in training.

The two unbeaten fighters took a 45-minute run yesterday morning, then headed to the Wild Card at 10:30AM for their sparring sessions.

The 18-year-old Banal took on Speedy Gonzales for six rounds, while Bautista sparred againts Alejandro Perez and Mike Franco for three rounds each.

"Ok ang sparring nindot ang gipakita nila ilang movements ug lihok," (The sparring was ok, I liked their movements and performance), said trainer Edito Villamor in an interview.

After their gym workouts, the three proceeded to the office of Pex Aves for a photo session with a local newspaper, before going to the Universal Studio where they were toured by Marlen and Rea Aves.

Tomorrow, both Bautista and Banal will run the hills of the Griffith Park for a tough morning session, as they don't have a sparring session set for the day.
