CHICAGO -- Tony Parker said the Dallas Mavericks "dared" him to score. And so he happily obliged.

The 6-foot-3 All-Star swished 11 of 19 field goals and 11 of 13 free throws on the way to 32 points as the Spurs hammered the Mavericks, 119-96, in Game 7 of their Western Conference quarterfinals.

"I just knew that I had to be aggressive if we wanted to have a chance to win the game because of the strategy that the Mavericks chose," Parker told ESPN Sunday afternoon following his team's big win at home at the AT&T Center.

As good as Parker was, he got plenty of help.

Manu Ginobili came off the bench with 20, Danny Green chipped in 16, while Tim Duncan and Kawhi Leonard added 15 apiece. Duncan also brought down eight boards and San Antonio converted 42 of 74 field goals (56.8 percent) and 10 of 24 threes (41.7 percent).

Dirk Nowitzki carried the Mavericks with 22, but the perennial All-Star and former MVP made only 8 of 21 field goals. Monta Ellis had similar struggles, missing 8 of his 11 shots. Devin Harris had a solid 17 points but the Mavs sank just 36 of 88 shots (40.9 percent) and 9-of-25 threes (36 percent).

The Spurs will meet the Portland Trail Blazers in the Western Conference semifinals. That series begins with Game 1 Tuesday night (Wednesday AM in Manila) at the AT&T Center. (Homer D. Sayson)
