Gerry Penalosa is getting much-needed moral support from the ALA Boys as he embarks on his biggest assignment to date when he challenges WBO superbantam champ Daniel Ponce De Leon this Sunday.

Penalosa, who is himself an ALA Boy, can count on the prayers of all the current crop of ALA Boys, said sportsman Antonio L. Aldeguer moments ago.

"Z Gorres had sparred with Ponce De Leon and we feel he can be beaten by Gerry Penalosa although the weight difference could take its toll on Gerry if the fight lasts the distance. The ALA Boys are all praying for Gerry. So do I," Aldeguer stated.

ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corp. will air the fights live starting at 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, with a replay on the same day 7 p.m. at Studio 23 and on Monday at 2 to 6 p.m. also on Studio 23.
