
Guanzon newly-crowned PBF champ; knocks Luzarito in 3rd Round

The 24-year-old Rhay Rhay ?Striker? Guanzon (18-1 win-loss, 6KOs) of the Top Prime Stable in Bacolod City is the new Philippine Boxing Federation Bantamweight champion after knocking Jerson ?Tuko? Luzarito (8-6-3 win-loss-draw, 1KO) of Butuan City during the ?No Mercy 7? held Wednesday at the Brgy. Pahanocoy gym in Bacolod City.
Guanzon cameout with an impressive performance by stopping Luzarito in 2:06 minutes of the 3rd Round of in the 118-pound clash.
With Guanzon?s victory, the Top Prime Stable of Rev. Henry Guanzon will again parade two Philippine champions ? after former WBO minimumweight titlist Merlito ?Tiger? Sabillo and reigning WBO International super flyweight champ ?King? Arthur Villanueva moved up to international arena.
Likewise, the younger Guanzon has kept his winning streak with a lone defeat suffered in November 2010 at the PAGCOR Hotel and Casino in Bacolod.
Joining Guanzon as PBF champion in the Top Prime Stable is reigning Flyweight champion Juan "The Punisher" Purisima.
On the other hand, in the undercard, Louie Arlos of Sagay City improved his record to 9-3 win-loos card with 2KOs after ending a unanimous victory against Junior Salvador of Mandaue, Cebu.
With the win, Arlos scored back-to-back win against Salvador during their second face-off. The 23-year-old Negrense pride first prevailed over Salvador in 2012 also via a unanimous decision.
Top Prime Stable?s promising fighter Robert Ates of Brgy. Pta. Taytay scored his third win as a pro after knocking Brgy. Pahanocoy?s Ruben Sibugan in 1:02 minutes of the 3rd round.
