'Rambol at the Bay,' an event promoted by Manny Pacquiao's MP Promotions, Bob Arum's Top Rank and Rex 'Wakee' Salud's RWS International, got off amid threats of rains, and Pacquiao's no-show.

The Pacman sparred for four rounds today in General Santos City against Aaron Melgarejo and Jesar Ancajas, and was reportedly making sure he was focused on his next fight against Jorge Solis, and a trip to Manila was deemed a distraction.

Early Results: Wakee Salud fighter Apol Suico was beaten for the first time by ex-Olympian Danilo Lerio after he was stopped in the second round. Another Salud fighter Bogie Delada was also beaten for the first time by Danilo Pena on a fifth-round TKO following what looked like a wrestling match; Armando Casa does it again with a majority decision win over Wakee Salud fighter Gideon Amba in a rematch of their 2005 bout in Maasin also won by Casa; Former amateur standout Roel Laguna of Wakee Salud Stable destroyed Mervin Batonila in an 8th-round TKO; Vicente Palicte won via unanimous decision over Marc Polgahe after six rounds; Joel Rafols prevailed on a split decision over Roel Lagonero after six rounds; Darryl Pucdol by split decision over Rocky Batol-Batol; Rocky Marcial by KO1 over Michael Anas.
