Robert Allanic came in at 118.25 lbs, while unbeaten Mexican Abner Mares weighed in at an exact 118 lbs for their showdown today at the New Alhambra in Philadelphia, USA.
The event is promoted by Oscar De la Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions.
Mares (10-0, 6 KO's) who represented Mexico in the 2004 Athens Olympics, hails from California by way of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
Allanic (15-2, 7 KO's), trained at the famed ALA Gym even before the notice to fight Mares was received by his management team.
The co-feature pits Michael Stewart against Enrique Colin.
