Richard Shaeafer of Golden Boy Promotions is bitterly mad at Top Rank?s Bob Arum. He minced no word in his latest tirade against the latter a la Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago versus a fellow Philippine senator who is in his 80s like Arum.
One effective rule for any couple to avoid divorce is never to believe what the other person is saying while he/she screams in anger because about 70% of the lashing words are untrue and meant just to hurt feelings due momentary bitterness and irrationality. But Arum and Shaeafer are not married to each other. Therefore they may be exceptions to the rule.
While Shaeafer and Santiago may appear ?obsessive haters,? they have valid points and believable accusations for everyone to ponder and they are too serious for the people concerned to ignore.
The sport of boxing must be happy with Uncle Bob?s latest pronouncements. He recently ?assured? the fans that he wants to make the ?Pacquiao-Mayweather? and went on verbalizing his piece for everybody to take heed. Yet his posture and being too emphatic about his claims and ?suggestions? sound and appear as if no one will discern his insincerity.
I agree: Arum has to step aside.
