Boxing fans all over the world will finally get the chance to assess the potentials of the undefeated Alex John 'Bazooka' Banal of the ALA Boxing Gym when he goes to war against former Pan-Asian Boxing Association (PABA) superfly kingpin Komrith Evereadygym in an 8-round tiff underneath the Z Gorres-Fernando Montiel WBO world superfly battle on February 24.
Komrith Evereadygym will no doubt give Banal the true test that he has been looking for, as the southpaw Thai has never lost to a Filipino fighter in his stellar 17-fight pro career.
The southpaw Banal goes into the fight with an unblemished slate of 11 wins, 1 draw with 9 KO's, and will be facing his seventh foreign opponent this early part of his career.
Evereadygym, the star of Thailand's Galaxy Boxing Promotions, boasts of a 15 wins, 2 losses with 11 knockout victories and had previously victimized ALA Boy Sherwin Paro, Roselito Campana, Melvin Magramo, Eric Barcelona (twice), Nathan Barcelona, Janrey Verano, Jun Talape and Cris Besmanus.
The Thai star had taken a course as an electrician last year, and plans to make Banal his next victim in his comeback outing.
Evereadygym planes in on February 22 with business manager Kittiphong Kuiyarat on a PAL flight from Bangkok, and will take a connecting flight to Cebu in the evening.
Banal, meanwhile, continues his training at the ALA Gym and at the multi-million resort owned by sportsman Antonio L. Aldeguer in Danao City, along with Z Gorres and Rey Bautista.
"They are all in prime shape. The boys are ready to rumble for the country," said ALA head trainer Edito Villamor yesterday.
