?Great, fabulous.?

This was how Manny Pacquiao?s handlers described the eight-division world champion?s status going into the final two weeks of preparations for his comeback fight against Brandon Rios at the posh Venetian Resort in Macau November 24.

?Manny?s in perfect shape,? chief trainer Freddie Roach declared as Pacquiao braced to complete his first eight weeks of training camp yesterday at the Pacman Wild Card Gym in his hometown General Santos City. ?We?re having a great camp and Manny?s back in his razor-sharp self.?

Roach disclosed that starting Monday and the rest of the camp?s last week and another week in Macau, preparations will be spent on how to maintain all the gains achieved since the nation?s boxing hero decided to pitch camp in GenSan.

?There?s nothing more to achieve. Everything is there. Power, speed. coordination, all that Manny needed to recover,? Roach attested. ?We even sent home the two other sparring partners we hired to help.? He added only up-coming Irish junior welterweight Liam Vaughan and Filipino counterpart Dan Nazareno, whom he heaped praises , remain as Pacqiao?s dancing partners in the remaining sparring schedule. Roach said the team leaves for Macau on November 18 to round out preparations.

Roach also credited conditioning coach Gavin Macmillan for his efforts in providing Pacquiao his stamina-building requirements. ?Ang ganda na ng kondisyon ni Manny. Kumpleto na,? assistant trainer Marvin Somodio said by way of agreeing to Roach?s observation. ?His killer instinct is back and you can see really that he?s determined to get back to where he was (before he suffered his only back-to-back losses last year). ?

Somodio, Roach?s right man Friday in his Los Angeles Wild Card Gym who handled Miguel Cotto?s and Ruslan Provodnikov?s separate fights in the absence of the chief trainer, went further to say that the ?Fighter of the Decade? can easily win via KO.

Fellow assistant trainers Buboy Fernandez, Nonoy Neri and Roger ?Haplas? Fernandez echoed the same sentiment. ?Nakaganda yun maagang umpisa ng training. Busog na busog na talaga sa ensayo si Manny,? Fernandez said. ?Tama si coach Freddie, wala na kaming mahihingi pa as far as what we have gained here is concerned.? ?From here, what we will be doing is o ensure that no injury will happen to Manny in the remaining stages of. Ang tragal nang nagsakripisyo nung tao sa ensayo tapos ma-i-injure pa. Kelangan alagaan na lang,? Neri, who also doubles as Pacquiao?s cook, cautioned.

Michael Koncz, Pacquiao?s business manager concurred, saying the long drawn up preparations was ?fabulous. The camp brings us to where we intended to go.?
