It was a fight that brought out the best of two warriors in a classic Mexico vs. Philippines battle in the lower weight division when the then reigning WBO minimumweight champion Moises ?MOI? Fuentes moved up one weight class to challenge reigning WBO Light Flyweight Champion Donnie ?AHAS? Nietes in a World Champion vs. World Champion last March in Cebu City.

The sequel of the fight is set to happen next March, exactly one year after, according to the Fuentes camp.

The Fuentes camp informed that their promoter, Fernando Beltran, have set a tune up fight for Fuentes this December in Chiapas, Mexico before Fuentes goes to battle with the tough Donnie Nietes with the planned battle in the neutral battlefield in Macao, China in March of 2014.

WBO President Francisco Valcarcel ordered the rematch between Nietes and Fuentes with Fuentes being the mandatory challenger to Nietes.

Their first battle ended in a majority draw. American judges Adalaide Byrd and Jack Russel had it both even at 114-114 while Filipino Atty. Danrex Tapdasan had it 115-113 in favor of Nietes. It was a see saw battle from start to finish, and many ringside observers saw it for Nietes and others for Fuentes.

In an interview with the trainer of Fuentes, the flamboyant Jorge Barerra expressed concern that maybe Nietes was really affected in his fight with Fuentes as Nietes has not fought after that fierce battle and Fuentes has had two fights since then.

Team Nietes of the world renowned ALA Boxing Stable of Cebu is scheduled to fight this coming Nov. 29 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates with a soon to be announced opponent.

The world will witness WORLD WAR III this coming March 2014.
