MAYWEATHER ? IMPRESSIVE AND CAPTIVATING

The pound-for-pound king was ready for war from the opening bell, but his opponent didn?t give him one until it was too late in the later rounds; too late for an ?aggressive? Canelo Alvarez to steal a win from a smart champion.

I have not seen Floyd Mayweather Jr. that good. He was clearly out to fight. With such impressive performance of him versus a competitive, unbeaten boxer, there?s absolutely no reason for Floyd to avoid Manny Pacquiao.

It was a brave Mayweather that we saw last night and he captivated the world.

But has anybody seen the young Canelo?s soul in the ?fight?? Sorry, I just caught the child in Canelo throughout the game in a school yard. ?The One? mega event proves that boxing is not just about age, youth, looks, skill, courage, popularity and sterling record.

Far above his abilities, Mayweather is an intelligent boxer who prepares right and thinks his way right climbing up the ring. And Floyd is intelligent enough to acknowledge his inadequacies apart from Deity: ?Most of all I thank God because I couldn?t have done it without Him,? he so aptly said immediately after the bout and as far as I could recall. Mayweather is growing in faith and as a person. And he keeps growing as a boxer too, potentially to be considered among the ?top five? bests of all time.

What we have been used to seeing and hearing during fight build ups is probably not the real Mayweather. The Mayweather that people hate might have been just the ?villain man? Mayweather himself created purely for business purposes in boxing. Is he therefore a genius or a guile creature? It?s up to you.

In an interview published by hollowverse.com last year (10/8/12) and written by Caitlin Frye, Mayweather revealed his true self:
?The difference between me and any other fighter is they?re talented. I?m God-gifted. There?s a difference. God gives certain individuals gifts and boxing is one of my gifts. Yeah, my spirituality is more private? I?ve got my own personal relationship with God. I know that there?s a God because I was able to survive everything that I?ve been through ? all of the tough times ? and I?m still at the top of my game.?

Floyd was humble looking up to Heaven for strength yesterday. And he was heard.

?I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.? - Philippians 4:13
