Australian promoter/manager Peter Maniatis will visit the Philippines alongside his undefeated talented boxer Kerry "The Prince" Palmer who has a record of 4 wins, no loss.

Maniatis on the hunt for a champion upcomer from the Philippines. Maniatis was very close to signing a boxer on his previous visit in Jan 2006, but could not test the boxer in sparring, hence the attendance of Kerry Palmer.

Kerry is rated @ super middleweight and has great defence skills and can work the opponent around the ring in sparring without loading up and pushing the other fighter around. Kerry understands Peter Maniatis's requirements as Peter also manages Kerry Palmer.

Maniatis, a Promoter of the Year awardee in Australia, is looking at boxers heavier than super bantamweight and shall visit Cebu and Manila gyms.

Maniatis hosts the Australian T.V show "Ko Boxing Show" CH-31, which celebrated its 200th episode and one of the highest rating sports show in Australia which had as guest the legendary Kostya Tszyu alongside the current world champion Vic Darchiyan to mark the occasion.

"Maniatis is looking forward to coming to the Phillipnes and meeting with the boxers and boxing fans, and also looking forward to catching up with long time friend world class referee Bruce "Pare" McTavish.

Maniatis would also like to speak to the management of the WBF welterweight champion Dondon Sultan about defending his World title against former Australian champion Shannon "The Man" McMahon" who Maniatis also manages and promotes.

Maniatis and former champion Shannon McMahon will be prepared to travel to the Phillipines to challenge the title or Sultan could travel to OZ for the great duel.

Maniatis will be speaking with WBF Boxing president Mick Croucher in relation to the matchup of McMahon vs Sultan (title fight).

Maniatis has seen Sultan at close quarters and rates Sultan as a champion, although Maniatis believes that Mc Mahon's fighting style will give him a strong chance of regainng the title.
