Fil-Am WBO Vice President for Asia Pacific Leon Panoncillo informed Philboxing.com today that he had been contacted by WBO President Francisco "Paco" Valcarcel to again coordinate another Christmas gift giving to disenfranchised children of Asia.

Last year the WBO provided donation among the children of Thailand in association with Kokiet Group Promotions, which brought tremendous joy and happiness to the unfortunate children of twelve provincial schools at Chumporn, Thailand.

This time, the WBO is expanding its gift-giving to poor children including those from the Philippines and again in Thailand, donating 100,000.00 pesos to the needy children of each Asian country.

"We would like to reach as many children in the world in an effort to keep children off the street and out of drugs," said Valcarcel.

WBO Asia Pacific Vice President Leon Panoncillo is now co-ordinating with Cebu's renowned promoter SGG Promotions Mr. Sammy Gello-ani and ALA boss Mr. Antonio Aldeguer to hold this special gift-giving event on the eve of our new year at Cebu.

After the December 30th encounter in Manila of Deadly Double WBO Intercon / Asia Pacific championship of Rexon Flores vs. Wisan Sor Chanya and Draian Francisco vs. Phichitchok Singmannasak promoted by Bebot Elorde (Elorde International Production), Panoncillo will be making a special trip to Cebu to personally hand out the donations to the needy children and enjoy the company and the new year with Mr. Antonio "ALA" Aldeguer and Sammy Gello-ani.

WBO Asia Pacific minimumweight champion Donnie Neites, WBO #1 Rey "Boom Boom" Bautista, WBO Mandatory superfly challenger Z Gorres, former WBO Asia Pacific champion Czar Amonsot, WBO Asia Pacific contender AJ "Bazooka" Banal and the rest of the ALA boxing team will be in attendance for this special program.

"Merry Christmas to all and have a safe and prosperous new year. We look forward to seeing more World Boxing Organization titles in our Asian countries this coming year," Panoncillo, who is widely credited for WBO fast emergence in the region, said in closing.
