Rhay Rhay Guanzon.
Fighters from the Top Prime Stable prevailed over their respective opponents last Saturday during the ?Blow by Blow: Expect No Mercy 4? in a jampacked Gaisano City Mall in Bacolod City.

Top Prime?s Rhay-Rhay ?D Striker? Guanzon improved his record to 19 wins, a loss with 5 KOs after dominating Renante Suacasa of Surallah, South Cotabato in a classic 8-round clash at 118 lbs.

Guanzon came out with dazzling combinations in the opening round with his excellent footwork, turning himself a moving target for Suacasa.

The second round turned out as a slugfest for both fighters as they exchanged gloves with the crowd well-entertained with the show.

However, Suacasa slowly lost his stamina in the latter rounds forcing him to throw number of wild shots against Guanzon, who has kept his perfect footwork and superb shot selection on the Mindanao-based fighter.

As the final bell rang, Guanzon won the fighter via unanimous decision. Judges scored the fight as follows: Dan Nietes (77-75), Roming Sumalapao (78-74) and Nonoy Quiatchon (77-76).

Meanwhile, Jan-Jan ?Pretty Boy Hitman? Guanzon, was able to survive the hard-hitting Edyson Serrano of Mandaue, Cebu by majority decision in the 6-round undercard at 133 lbs.

Serrano was a late replacement to Jilo Merlin of Surigao.

Guanzon, took control of the fight in the opening period but Serrano connected a right uppercut that sent the Top Prime fighter into the canvas with less than a minute left. However, Guanzon picked himself and hit back.

In the second round, Guanzon launched several combinations on the body forcing the visiting Cebuano to remain on the defensive stuns and often pull back to escape the former?s punches.

Guanzon continued his dominance in the third round, throwing head to body combinations that almost put Serrano out of breath. But a flashy right straight, sent back Guanzon to the canvas and gave Serrano some time to regain his strength.

Expecting that he really hurt the Top Prime protagonist, Serrano immediately attacked Guanzon with full-powered shots but was surprised when the latter fought back ? and found himself at the corner.

At the break, before the fourth round, Guanzon?s corner instructed to concentrate on body punches as they saw Serrano losing some oxygen.

With the bell rang to start the fourth, the Top Prime fighter again launched number of head and body combinations forcing the Cebuano fighter to embrace Guanzon to stop the attack.

Guanzon maintained his aggressiveness in the next two rounds to impress the judges. Dan Nietes scored, 58-56 and Henceboy Cestina, 59-55 for Guanzon as Frank Alojado had it even at 56-all.

In another undercard match, Top Prime Stable?s undefeated prospect Junjesie ?Tornado? Ibgos Jr. of Himamaylan City justified his moniker when he stopped Johnrey Lorico of South Cotabato with 1:32 of the third round in a 4-round battle at 126 lbs.

Both fighters engaged in slugfest in the early two rounds but a strong left hook by Igbos on Lorico?s body sent the visitor to kneel on the canvas. However, Lorico failed to pick himself as the mandatory 8-count expires, compelling international referee Samson Libres terminating the fight and declaring Igbos as winner by technical knockout.

Results of the supporting amateur bouts include: John Michael Zulueta defeated Cris Virgil Sorzano (45kgs), Alvin Sibugan outclassed Robert Atis (51 kgs), Paulo Sy conquered Dave Gonzales (53 kgs), Mario Jaga beaten Journey Alito (54kgs), Reyman Cordova outscored Eron Pitogo (54 kgs), Rogie Nardo overpowered Jopper Monta?o (58 kgs) and Francis dela Pe?a won over James Paul Talaman (60 kgs). Meanwhile, Rommel Ridondon registered the lone stoppage in the amateur category when he prevented Boy Tara-tara with 1:05 in the third round due to head blows.

The boxing event is presented by JR Eagle Promotions of Rev. Henry Guanzon in partnership with Aksyon Radyo-Bacolod and Gaisano City Mall Bacolod.

This event is sanctioned by the Games Amusement Board headed by Chairman Monju Guanzon and supervised by GAB-Bacolod chief Donna Mae Martir. Also present during the event are former GAB-Bacolod OIC and now consultant Jovencio ?Boy? Paroco, GAB consultant Vic tan and GAB physician Francis Balsomo.
