Team Fuentes arrives to a joyous crowd of fans at the Mactan International Airport in Cebu. Team Fuentes planed in via Cebu Pacific Airlines at around 7:00 pm Friday evening after leaving Manila for a press con earlier in the day.
With the many fans greeting Fuentes and asking for autographs, he never turned down an autograph or a picture taking.
World Champion Fuentes said, ?After this long journey from Mexico, we are excited to finally be in Cebu and I have trained hard for this fight.?
His manager/trainer Jorge Barrera (brother of former world champion Marco Antonio Barrera) was asked by a ABS CBN reporter, ?Will Fuentes win by a KNOCKOUT?? The soft spoken Barrera replied, ?We have come prepared to go twelve rounds, and if the KNOCKOUT comes, then so be it. We know World Champion Donnie Nietes is a very good fighter and our game plan will give us the victory.?
Team Fuentes will do their running at the Cebu City Sports complex at 10am this morning. All boxing fans are welcome to see him train.
