TAMPA, FLORIDA--Filipinos will get a chance to finally get to see a solid, and the original Philippines vs Mexico match-up, when the World Cup of boxing takes place in February next year either in Cebu or Manila.

Top international matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz, fresh from his purse bid victory in Puerto Rico, said in a meeting with Filipino promoter Sammy Gello-ani that the Z Gorres-Fernando Montiel WBO superfly title fight should take place sometime in February.

Other top match-ups are also being lined up for the big event, although everything is still being negotiated as of press time.

Meanwhile, the official weigh-in for "The Heat Is On" card takes place one hour from now at the Hyatt Regency Tampa here.

Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista, who weighed just 121.8 this morning, will finally get a chance to size up Brazilian Giovanni Andrade at the weigh-in.

Oscar De la Hoya, Bernard Hopkins and Shane Mosley will host today's proceedings.
