The Philippines will be ?INVADED? on Feb. 21 by WBO World Minimumweight World Champion Moises Fuentes as he arrives for the toughest battle of his boxing career.

Team Fuentes will arrive early to acclimate to the tropical weather of the Philippines in their bid for the prestigious WBO World Light Flyweight Championship belt held by the reigning WBO Champion Donnie ?AHAS? Nietes in the boxing capital of the Philippines, Cebu, on March 2 at the Waterfront Hotel and Casino.

The visiting Mexican team is led by its top Manager/Trainer Jorge Barrera and their top punch-mitts guy Asst. Trainer Aaron Dominquez.

If the family name of Barrera rings a bell, here is why, Jorge is the older brother of one of the greatest world champions to ever come out of Mexico, Marco Antonio ?Baby Face Assassin? Barrera.

Jorge was a tough boxer in his glory days in the ring. He won the WBC Continental Super Flyweight Championship and went on to face the WBO World Super Flyweight Champion, Johnny ?MI VIDA LOCA? Tapia. He lost by a TKO in the 3rd round. Jorge finished his career at (20-10-8KO).

Team Fuentes has prepared 3 custom made mouthpieces for this historic fight. No stone will go unturned for this fight.

The brother of THE WORLD CHAMPION FUENTES, Heriberto Fuentes will accompany the team, to help Team Fuentes prepare in the 1 ? weeks they will stay in the beautiful city of Cebu. Marco Antonio Barrera will come to Cebu to give his support for Team Fuentes. The exact arrival date of Marco Antonio is still not confirmed, but Jorge assured this writer, ?HE IS COMING!?

In a win-win fight for Fuentes, he is the reigning Minimumweight Champion coming into the fight for the Light Flyweight Title. If Fuentes wins the fight, he will be the new WBO Light Flyweight Champion, if his losses against the tough Nietes, he will still be the Minimumweight Champion since he didn?t have to relinquish his title to step up in weight which was granted by WBO President Francisco ?Paco? Valcarcel.
