McAllen, Texas--With only five hours before the big fight, Filipino Jimrex Jaca, who weighed just 138 lbs today, looked relaxed and in high spirit when the media visited him in his suite at the Wyndham Hotel here.

Jaca, who was with Team De la Hoya trainer Robert 'Jun' Bubuli in the room, gamely posed for photographs taken by Philboxing.com's Dong Secuya and Sports Illustrated lensman Rob De Lorenzo.

Also with the team are Jaca's close associate Jeff De Guzman and advisor James Gogue, a close friend of Jaca benefactor and Texas multi-millionaire Julio Marines.

"I am fighting not just for my country, but also for my family and my future," said Jaca in a message coursed through Jeff De Guzman released to the media.

Bubuli said that his boy has not felt in better shape in all of his fights, and that Jaca is all primed up to go home with a big 'W' in his resume.

Meanwhile, Juan Manuel Marquez has been seen just hanging around the hotel lobby, obliging to photo requests by fans, mostly Mexicans.

In another twist, Jaca has also received some Mexican support, even lending some form of sponsorships for this fight. On the other hand, Filipino fight fans just want free tickets, according to a Team Jaca insider.

More to come...
