Donnie "The Snakeman" Nietes of the ALA Stable spewed venom early, registering an impressive second-round knockout over Indonesia's Heri Amol to win the WBO Asia-Pacific minimumweight title a few hours ago at the Mandaue City Sports and Cultural Complex.

A combination of punches to the head and midsection stopped the visiting foe at the 46-second mark of the second frame, improving Nietes' record to 19-1-3, 11 KO's.

The other winners are: Along Denoy by UD over Aljun Salogaol; Milan Milendo by UD over Rommel Bongon; Joseph Omanz by majority decision over Rey Las Pinas; Leon Maratas by disqualification over Lotlot Gaviola; Jessie Albaracin by TKO over Edmund Velayo; Brix 'Bomb' Ray by KO over Nic Banal; Weng Haya by TKO over Alfredo Balabat; and Frank Albia by TKO over Romano Gelig.
