NBA -- Snowstorm postpones today's Bulls vs. Pacers tiff

CHICAGO -- The Chicago Bulls' visit to the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, where they were to play the Indiana Paacers was postponed to a later date by the NBA due to a snow storm that hit Indianapolis.

This would have been the second meeting between the Central Division rivals since December 4 when the Pacers beat the Bulls, 80-76, at the United Center. Besides this postponed encounter, they meet again on March 3 in Indy and again on March 23 in Chicago.

The postponement comes as a bit a relief for the Bulls, who are trying to shake off the doldrums of their mini skid. It also gives Luol Deng an extra day to heal from a sprained right ankle sustained in the Rockets game.

Both teams are coming off different directions. The Bulls are nursing a two-game slump, including a 120-97 beatdown at the hands of the Houston Rockets, while the Pacers have strung three wins in a row to move up to 16-12 and share the Central Division lead over the 15-12 Bulls. (HDS)
