MANILA(PNA) - "I?m ready!?

Thus declared Manny Pacquiao yesterday in reference to his preparedness to battle Juan Manuel Marquez for the fourth time.

?It?s still some three weeks left before we face each other again, but pakiramdam ko handang-handa na ang katawan ko para sa laban,? Pacquiao told People?s Journal in a telephone interview following another hard grind on the mitts with chief trainer Freddie Roach Wednesday at the latter?s Wild Card Gym.

?Finishing touches na lang, kumbaga ang kailangan at I believe within the week, talagang handa nang sumabak sa bakbakan,? he said with a giggle. ?Next week here at LA, malamang i-maintain na lang natin kung ano ang nakuha natin dito sa camp.?

The soon-to-be 34 year old Pacman was actually confirming his earlier statement during international conference call held a day later with promoter Bob Arum and Roach.

Pacquiao and Marquez face each other anew in Chapter IV of their storied, nine-year feud on December 8 (December 9 in Manila) with both promising to score convincing victory to finish a business that remained in doubt after 36 rounds that started in 2004 and extended almost in this same period last year.

?Aminin ko, ito na siguro ang pinamkamatinding preparasyong pinagdaanan ko sa aking pagbo-boksing and the reasons is, as we all know from the start, gusto kong maganda ang maging resulta at wala nang magiging pagdududa kung sino talaga ang mananalo,? Pacquiao said as he prepared to appear as Jimmy Kimmel?s guest for the seventh time that night.

Both Roach and Arum expressed amazement on what they have been seeing in the camp.

?Manny is looking great in training. I like what I see, ? Roach attested. ?He is where I want him to be right now. His focus is where it has not been for some time. He is very focused for this fight and I think it?s going to be the best fight yet.?

?We?re anticipating a tremendous event on Dec. 8. It will be a fight that will go into the annals of boxing history because these gentlemen that fought three previous times and over the course of the timeline, this fourth fight will be the best fight of all,? Arum, for his part, told reporters in attendance in the international conference.

There are plenty of factors at play that are giving Pacquiao a bit of extra motivation. One of them is obviously the fact that there are lingering emotions stemming from his last fight against Timothy Bradley, which almost everyone in entire boxing community believe that he should have won.
