Fight fans will have a chance to judge for themselves whether the decision in the battle between Indonesia's No. 1 minimum weight Sofyan Efendi and veteran Steve Dimaisip, a late replacement for Jun Arlos was a bum decision or a fair one. The fiight was staged before a huge crowd in Trece Martires City, promoted by Gabriel "Bebot" Elorde Jr with the support of Mayor Melencio Sagun Jr.

The controversy arose after an eight point discrepancy between the scorecard of judge Flores who scored it 78-74 in favor of Efendi and judge Hayag who had Dimaisip the winner also by a 78-74 margin with the third judge Henry Vierniz scoring the fight even at 76-76.

Efendi who had a record of 14-0-1- with 6 knockouts going into the fight against Dimaisip who had a record of 12-15, 5 KO's was the more impressive fighter and won the nod of the TV panel on their unofficial scorecard.

The Efendi-Dimaisip fight will be featured on the top-rated weekly boxing show "The Main Event" on Sunday at 1 p.m. over RPN 9, sponsored by Tanduay, the No.1 Rhum.

An added attraction will be the Tanduay round girls, Viva Hot Babes Carla Samonte and Scarlet Boufard.
