Sensational young superstar Sarah Geronimo will sing the Philippine National Anthem at the Grand Finale rubber match between Filipino ring idol Manny Pacquiao and legendary Mexican Erik “El Terrible” Morales at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas on November 18.

The request for Sarah to sing the national anthem to put some real class into the pre-fight ceremonies was made by former PBA Commissioner Rudy Salud who is a good friend of Pacquiao and like him a cockfighting aficionado. The request was relayed to the fighter by one of his top aides in Manila, Nelson Salvanera who said Pacquiao agreed right away.

The idea of having the extremely popular talent of the Viva Artists Agency headed by Vic del Rosario sing the national anthem aimed at giving the Philippines a boost by having a world class singer was in response to a request relayed to Salud by eye specialists Dr. Jack Arroyo and Dr. Arnold Salud, son of Rudy Salud.

Sarah Geronimo will be in the US in November for a series of concerts in key cities where in the past she has been a big hit.
