WBC Continental Americas super-featherweight champ Bobby Pacquiao's planned fight with ex-IBF champ Robbie Peden will not take place, and his management team, which consists of older brother Pacman, Wakee Salud and Michael Koncz, has announced that the Filipino fighter will instead fight Hector Velazquez on November 16 at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

"Our Promoter Top Rank was unable to reach agreeable terms with the Peden camp therefore, rather than going to a purse bid with the possibility of the fight taking place in Australia the management team elected not to participate in the elimination bout" Koncz said in an email to the media today.

Koncz also announced that contracts were signed today for Bobby to face Velazquez, a one-time opponent of his brother. The bout will be a 12 round main event non-title fight. The card will be televised nationally to millions of homes by Versus Network (formally OLN).

Bobby Pacquiao has been undergoing extensive preparation along with his more illustrious brother at the Wild Card gym since September 19, 2006.

Manny, according to Koncz, stated that "Velazquez is a tough opponent but Bobby is training very hard for this fight and will be ready for the challenge. I will be at ring side to give Bobby encouragement and my support."

The fight purse that Bobby Pacquiao is set to receive for this bout was not disclosed, according to Koncz.
