The hugely-popular Filipino sensation Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista, fully recovered from a freak shoulder injury, is set to trade leathers with Brazilian Giovanni Andrade on December 2 at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, Florida, USA.

Andrade is the same fighter who was supposed to face Bautista last September 16 before a shoulder injury precluded the Filipino from fighting.

This was confirmed today by Bautista's manager Michael Aldeguer, who also informed that his 20-year-old fighter will fly to Los Angeles on October 25 to continue his training at the Wild Card Gym of renowned trainer Freddie Roach.

"Boom-Boom Bautista is fully recovered from his recent shoulder injury and is already in heavy training in preparation for his upcoming fight. He even had his first sparring session held just yesterday," said Cebu sportsman Antonio L. Aldeguer, Bautista's chief backer, even as he also sought to dispel rumors going around that the Bohol-raised fighter is retired following the injury.

Golden Boy Promotions vice-president and matchmaker Eric Gomez, in an email to Aldeguer, also confirmed via email that Andrade, who holds the World Boxing Commission superbantam title, has been chosen as Bautista's opponent.

Bautista-Andrade will serve as one of the supporting bouts of the big GBP event featuring pound-for-pound great Winky Wright against ex-world champ Ike Quartey.

Also seeing action is former super-middleweight champ 'Left Hook' Jeff Lacy.
