After spending a week-long stint in Los Angeles where he did his final sparring sessions, Filipino banger Randy 'Komong Bato' Suico is off to Las Vegas ready to rumble with World Boxing Association lightweight king Juan Diaz at the MGM Grand's Garden Arena.
Suico (24-2, 21 KO's) will be joined in the trip from Los Angeles to Sin City by his manager Joe Koizumi and trainer Juanito Ablaca. The group will be billeted at the MGM Grand.
While in Los Angeles, Suico sparred with former IBF junior lightweight king Carlos 'Famoso' Hernandez and Urbano Antillon.
The Filipino, who will be cheered at ringside by superstar Manny Pacquiao, also visited renowned ortho-dentist Ed de la Vega prior to the Vegas trip, where he was fitted with a custom-made mouthguard.
De la Vega had also constructed the mouthpieces of the Pacquiao brothers Manny and Bobby, Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista, Z Gorres, Czar Amonsot and Diosdado Gabi.
The undefeated Diaz (29-0, 14 KO's), touted by many experts as the world's best lightweight, will be making his fourth titular defense since winning the title in 2004.
In his previous outing, Diaz decisioned a game Jose Miguel Cotto last April 8 at the Thomas and Mack Center.
