Manny Pacquiao looks over a fallen Oscar Larios in dying seconds of the final round following a big left as referee Bruce McTavish gets ready to toll the count.
Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao proved why he is a pound-for-pound king with a dominating performance over Mexico's Oscar Larios just an hour ago at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila.
Pacquiao, the southpaw with sledgehammer fists, knocked down Larios twice in the fight, and dominated virtually all the other rounds en route to an emphatic unanimous decision win.
France's Humbert Furgoni saw it 117-110, Belgium's Daniel Van Del Wiele penned it 118-108, while Thailand's Noppharat Sricharoen had it 120-106 all in favor of the iconic Filipino.
The win solidified a November 18 rubbermatch between Pacquiao and another Mexican, Erik Morales.
Pacquiao was in cruise control in the fight, except in the third when Larios rocked him with several big rights and pinned him on the ropes.
Pacquiao, however, rebounded with a performance for the ages, clinically dismantling and bloodying the game and gutsy hombre from Guadalajara.
"Starting in the 4th, I made an adjustment because he's also a good inside fighter," said Pacquiao when asked about the third-round scare.
In the undercard, Czar Amonsot edged out a gutsy Silverio Ortiz via unanimous decision, Gerry Penalosa decisioned a tough-as-advertised Tomas Rojas, while Jimrex Jaca prevailed on a seventh-round technical decision over Hector Marquez.
