PASIG CITY--Undefeated Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista is set to return to ring action when he takes part in a terrific fight card on September 16 featuring the rematch between Marco Antonio Barrera and Rocky Juarez on September 16 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

In an exclusive interview, Golden Boy Promotions vice-president Eric Gomez revealed that Bautista, who was stricken off the Manny Pacquiao-Oscar Larios following a bout with flu, will be included in the September 16 show as requested by Oscar De la Hoya himself.

Gomez lauded the management of Bautista for the decision to pull out the fighter from this Sunday's card, saying that 'this things happen to boxing and the health of the fighter is always more important than the money."

Although no opponent has been lined up to face Bautista, Gomez revealed that should Alejandro Montiel comes out victorious against RP bantam champ Michael Domingo on Sunday, the Mexican might get the chance to face Bautista.

"I had an earlier talk with Montiel before Bautista was stricken off the card, and he told me 'Sir, please don't get mad at me if i beat Bautista on July 2 coz im in tremendous shape' and that made me think he is really in shape to face Domingo," said Gomez.
