Newly-crowned Pan-Asia Boxing Association (PABA) welterweight king Dondon 'Supremo' Sultan has been chosen by the Games and Amusements Board as its Boxer of the Month for the soon-to-be-released latest rankings of the agency.

Sultan earned the accolade following his earth-shaking stoppage of previously unbeaten Anton Solopov in Surgut, Russia on May 20. Solopov, managed by the highly-regarded Kostya Tszyu, was no match to Sultan's power as the latter pulverized him in a single round of their scheduled 12-rounder.

Also cited by the GAB is runner-up Malcolm Tunacao, the OPBF bantam king, for his successful titular defense over Japan's Yasuo Kijima last May 6.

The southpaw Tunacao, who is rated no. 4 by the WBC, is hoping to get a crack at the WBC title sometime in the near future. He captured the WBC flyweight title six years ago with a 7th-round stoppage over Medgoen 3K Battery, the man who stopped a dehydrated Manny Pacquiao.
