LABAO, FRANCISCO, FACE KOREAN OPPONENTS TONIGHT

It will be Philippines against South Korea tonight when featherweight Rey Labao and flyweight Drian Francisco, both undefeated, will square off against separate Korean opponents at the Cavite Coliseum, Imus Cavite.

In what could be his biggest test so far, Rey Labao (10-0, 7KOs) will be facing former Korean bantamweight titleist Suk-Kuk Kim (9-2, 6KOs) in the a scheduled 10-round main event of the card dubbed “Strike for Honor Philippines vs. Korea. This fight would be the first for both fighters to face foreign opponents.

Drian Francisco (7-0), also in his first fight against a foreign rival, will test his mettle against Jung-Jung Soo, whose fight record is unavailable, in an 8-round tussle.

Completing the Philippines-South Korea cast is the fight scheduled for 8 rounds between lady boxers Elsie Quizon of San Pedro, Laguna against Eue Jung Kim of Seoul Korea in a battle for the World Boxing Empire (WBE) Asia Pacific Lady Flyweight Championship.

Also in the card is featherweight Michael Farenas, who will be up against Jerome Arsolon in a scheduled 8-rounder.

Completing the card are fights between undefeated Hilsan Berba of Cavite (fighting out of the Elorde Stable) against Longino Dimaano for six rounds and a curtain raiser 4-rounder between Jason Egera and William Longcanaya.
