Fighters belonging to Manila's Elorde stables get their chance at fighting for regional and world titles within the next two months.

PABA interim super-bantam titlist Pederito Laurente, who fights out of the Johnny Elorde Stable, is set to collide with former WBO bantam champ Ratanachai Sor Vorapin on July 2 in Nakornsawan, Thailand for the regular PABA superbantam belt.

Laurente, who once reigned as the OPBF superbantam boss, took the interim PABA title on May 17, 2005 with a third-round TKO win over Chinese Xi Mo Xiang in Guangzhou, China.

Meanwhile, Juanito Rubillar of the Gabriel Elorde Jr. Stable finally gets his crack at the WBC light-flyweight interim title when he faces Thai Wandee Singwancha on July 12 in Nonthaburi, Thailand.

The WBC has recently approved an interim fight between the two highest contenders to fill the gap as regular WBC 108-lb boss Brian Viloria recuperates from an injury suffered in his last titular defense.

Another Gabriel Elorde Jr. fighter, WBO no. 1 flyweight Rexon Flores, travels to France as he takes on Brahim Asloum for the WBO interim flyweight crown on July 15.

Leon Panoncillo, the WBO Vice-President for Asia Pacific region, has also informed that Benjie Sorolla of the Marty Elorde Stable has moved up as the WBO's no. 1 contender in the minimumweight division.

Sorolla, who holds the WBO Asia-Pacific minimumweight crown, is now in line to challenger WBO champion Ivan Calderon.
