VP Binay trains with Nietes in Murcia

Bacolod City ? Vice-President Jejomar Binay joined world boxing champion Donnie ?Ahas? Nietes and Murcia town Mayor Andrew Montelibano last Sunday during the boxer?s training in his home town in Murcia.

VP Binay and Nietes alongside Montelibano led hundreds of supporters in a walk around the town?s plaza that ended on its basketball court. While having their walk, they received warm greetings from the Murciahanons, who happened to be around the plaza.

At the basketball court, they do some workouts for more than thirty minutes where they also shared some thoughts and experiences.

After the workout, Mayor Montelibano offered them to a sumptuous breakfast just beside the Municipal Hall where VP Binay gave Nietes some tips. Likewise, the vice-president promised the boxing champion of his support for the October 8-scheduled world title fight at the University of St. La Salle. After breakfast, they proceeded to the local parish to pray before they parted ways.

On the other hand, Nietes will be fighting for his second division world title against reigning WBO World Light Flyweight Champion Ramon Garcia of Mexico in the main event of Pinoy Pride 9: WBO World Light Flyweight Championship.

Also fighting in the undercard are boxing sensation AJ "Bazooka" Banal and Bacolod City?s boxing champions Arthur "El Matador" Villanueva and Merlito "Tiger" Sabillo.
