TAGBILARAN CITY--A few moments from now, a big international card featuring young fighters from the ALA Gym will be showcased here at the carpark of the Island City Mall.

Some 5,000 people (and counting) have already trooped to the fight venue.

Solar Sports, which is covering the fight, has tapped two of the country's finest fight analysts--Quinito Henson and Ed Picson--to do the blow-by-blow coverage.

The fight can be seen on a slightly delayed telecast starting at 9:30 tonight over at Solar Sports.

At ringside is WBO Asia Pacific chairman Leon Panoncillo, sportsman Tony Aldeguer, promoter Sammy Gello-ani, and Mayor Dan Neri Lim.

In the first bout, debuting Mark Jason Melliguen, a former national amateur mainstay, proved too powerful against previously undefeated Rolan Malunhao, as he stopped the latter with a big left 41 seconds gone in the opening round.

The second bout saw ALA Boy Frank Albia earn a 39-37, 39-37, 40-37.

ALA Boy Ninolito Jalnaiz, meanwhile, found a tough nut to crack in Jessie Albaracin, rallying in the last two rounds to score a majority draw verdict in their 4-round shootout.

SGG's Milan Milendo scored yet another win with a one-sided unanimous decision over Amirro Ricablanca.

In a minifly showdown, Rey Caitom continued his winning streak with a unanimous decision verdict over Roldan Malinao.
