TAGBILARAN CITY, BOHOL--Some of the country's brightest young prospects see action today in a 10-bout international card lined up by Sammy 'Don King' Gello-ani's SGG Promotions at the Island City Mall's carpark here.

The event, which will be covered by Solar Sports, has the full backing of Tagbilaran City Mayor Dan Neri Lim, a big patron of boxing in the region.

Leading the cast is the undefeated Alex John Banal of the ALA Stable, who will take on Thailand's Bangsaen Sithpraprom in an 8-round dukeout.

This will be Banal's second Thai opponent in only his seventh pro fight, following his impressive March 18 knockout win over Thai Dechapol Bankluaygym which impressed executives of the Golden Boy Promotions who were at ringside watching the fight.

Another ALA Boy, RP no. 1 superflyweight Robert 'Cliff Smart' Allanic, will get his first opportunity to face a foreign rival when he takes on Thai Saensak Singmanasak in another 8-round rumble.

Allanic boasts of a 11-1, 4 KO's record, his only loss coming on a TKO to Orlan Enriquez last year.

Rey Caitom, another unbeaten ALA Boy, sees action in his sixth fight as he goes up against Butuan's Roldan Malinao in another 8-round affair.

Caitom, a many-time former amateur standout, is considered another bright prospect worth watching out for.

The rest of the card pits Milan Milendo against Amirro Ricablanca; Ninolito Jalnaiz versus Jessie Albarracin; Frank Albia versus Brix Ray; Mark Jason Melliguen against Rolan Malunhao; Rasheid Bacus versus Argie Marapao; Rex Malibago versus Daryl Amoncio; and Rogen Flores versus Rey Taguibalos.
