Alag, Banal triumph in Corella, Bohol boxing

Three pro bouts and some amateur fights entertained the boxing fans of Corella, Bohol last Saturday when Sammy 'Don King' Gello-ani presented the "Bakbakan sa Corella" at the town's public market.
According to GAB-Cagayan's Carlos Almirante, Cris Alag TKO'd Marlou Ednay at 2:54 of the sixth round in their scheduled 8-round scrap.
Also victorious was Jun Intor who stopped Jujith Aredidon at 1:36 of the second frame, while the curtain-raiser saw Nic Banal's unrelenting KO win Jordan Saligumba at the 54-second mark of the second round of a schedueld 4-round tiff.
Explosive amateur bouts preceded the pro offering in this event sponsored by Gov. Erico Aumentado, Congressman Ed Chato, Bohol Water Utilities Inc., and Sto. Nino Farms.
