Z "The Dream" Gorres and Czar Amonsot will now take on a Puerto Rican and Mexican foes respectively in their next US fights.
The southpaw Gorres (23-1-1, 12 KO's) will take on Puerto Rican Jose Laureano on May 27 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.
Laureano, who hails from Guaynabo, PR, is a one-time IBF flyweight contender, and owns a 18-9-1, 8 KO's record.
Two weeks earlier, on May 12, Czar Amonsot trades mitts with Mexican Antonio Wong in a 10-round bout at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Another Filipino, Along Denoy, takes on a soon-to-be-announced foe in the same card.
"It has now been confirmed by Jimmy Montoya in a telephone conversation to me last night, that the 12th of May promotion at the Orleans Hotel/Casino is ready to rock and roll with the return of the Ala boys, of which i am sure will be a sell out," informs Tony Martin, who arranged the May 12 event.
Amonsot and Denoy will be leaving for Las Vegas on April 26, and will stay at the Martins' home in Las Vegas before proceeding to the Orleans Hotel a week before the fight.
"While they are here they will be training with myself and Villamor at the Vegas Gym, which has first class facilities," Martin added.
