Former WBA flyweight world champion Luis "El Nica" Concepcion" (23-2, 18KO's) of Panama needed just one punch and 76 seconds to prescribe a devastating first round KO over veteran Mexican warrior Manuel "Chango" Vargas at the Roberto Duran Arena earlier this morning in Panama.
For the 25-year-old "El Nica" Concepcion, who is ranked in the WBA, WBC and WBO, it was an impressive return to the ring after losing his world crown in a dramatic WBA fight-of-the-year candidate bout to Hernan "Tyson" Marquez last April.
Concepcion's mind set is now focused in battling the best flyweights fighters in the world in a bid to recapture the 112 lbs world title that once belonged to him.
Chango Vargas, who lost a close 12-rounds split decision to former champion Donnie Nietes, was completely destroyed by the power puncher "El Nica".
To many boxing fans it will be interesting to witness the hard hitting "El Nica" Concepcion against top flyweight warriors such as Rodel Mayol or Milan Melindo.
