Nietes leads the pack of great boxers in the country in a world boxing championships in Pinoy Pride 9 on October 8, 2011 at the University of St. La Salle.

Banal and the newly signed Negrense champions Merlito ?D? Tiger? Sabillo and Arthur ?El Matador? Villanueva in the undercard.

ALA Promotions President and CEO Michael Aldeguer said that the main reason of changing the schedule of the match from September 10 to October 8 is the density of the fight. ?This fight is too big that we need to prepare well. This is a world championship match and will not only be aired in the Philippines but all over Mexico and other parts of the world,? Aldeguer said.

He also explained why Banal stepped in for the undercard match instead of the earlier scheduled Milan Melindo. ?We have a big plan for both Melindo and Banal that?s why we are keen of providing these fighters a good fight,? Aldeguer added.

Banal will be fighting for a 10-round 118 lbs. division. However, his opponent is still to be determined.

Meanwhile, the Murcia-native Nietes (28 wins, 1 loss and 3 draw) said that he is not affected by the changes in the match schedule. ?I?ve been in tough training for this fight and I?m not in anyway affected of the changes. I?m just excited to fight in front of my hometown,? he said.

On the other hand, undefeated and current Philippine minimumweight champion Sabillo (15 wins with 7Kos) will be up for the biggest fight of his life as he battles Tejares Singwancha for the Oriental Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) minimumweight championship.

The Toboso-born Sabillo said that this is a great chance for him to reach his dreams and help his family. ?I?m very thankful to Sir Aldeguer for giving us this fight. Likewise, I?m grateful for the help extended to us by chairman Monju Guanzon and our Manager Rev. Henry Guanzon,? Sabillo humbly said.

On his part, the 22-year-old Villanueva, who gains his second stint in an ALA promotions boxing event, said that this is an opportunity for them to get a big break in their professional careers. Like Sabillo, the Bago City-native also thanked Aldeguer, Chairman Guanzon and Rev. Guanzon for the privilege of earning this opportunity.

The undefeated and reigning Philippine flyweight champion Villanueva (17 wins with 15Kos) will be fighting Richard ?Tibay? Betos for the Philippine bantamweight belt.

Both Sabillo and Villanueva are fighting for Top Prime Stable of Rev. Guanzon, lately underwent training in ALA gym in Cebu to prepare for the upcoming fight.

?I?m so happy that I experienced training at ALA. And most especially sparing with champion Nietes,? Sabillo said.
