Fight fans will get a sneak peek of the highly-anticipated Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) title match between Z ?The Dream? Gorres and Thailand?s Waengpetch Chuwatana at the FIGHT CLUB in Cebu on March 4 at 5:30 pm.
The Freddie Roach-trained Gorres will showcase his wares in a sparring session against RP No. 2 Super Flyweight contender Robert "Cliff Smart" Allanic. This will be an opportunity for Gorres to sharpen his skills before he climbs the ring on March 18.
The RP no. 2 superfly Allanic, on the other hand, will test his skills in another bout against journeyman Roberto Rubillar of the famed Elorde stable on the same March 18 card.
This boxing preview will also display the boxing prowess of WBO Asia-Pacific Super Featherweight champion Czar Amonsot and undefeated and former amateur standout A.J. Banal. Amonsot will trade mitts with RP Welterweight champion Dondon Sultan while A.J. Banal will duke it out with fellow ALA boy Sherwin Paro. Incidentally, both Amonsot and Banal will be part of the special attraction fights on March 18 as they will be fighting their Thai counterparts, Decho Bankluaygym and Dechapol Bankluaygym respectively.
FIGHT CLUB, located at the Banilad Trade Center in Cebu (near Gaisano Countrymall) has been giving boxing programs formatted out of the same training used by the professional and amateur boxers at the world-class ALA Boxing Gym since it has opened July of last year. Fight Club members are assured of an excellent boxing fitness regimen with the help of its training staff who are former bemedalled amateur standouts and ex-Philippine champions.
The March 4 boxing preview will serve as a boxing ?teaser? for the public as Fight Club has another boxing exhibition planned on March 9, 2006 featuring Fight Club members against professional and amateur boxers from the ALA Boxing Gym.
Both boxing previews are offered free to the public.
