SOLUTION TO THE DONAIRE-MEDIA RIFT: A Chance to Become Giants

No human being on the planet is perfect. Neither is the media nor The Filipino Flash.

Everyone shares the ?blame? in the current ?sonic-boom? fiasco among the important players in bringing resurrected life to the sport of boxing, for no single person has the monopoly of ?fingers? to point at someone or anybody.

Boxing phenomenon Nonito Donaire Jr, at his age, is understandably immature in certain ways just as media has its share of occasional lapses notwithstanding the respectable status and many years spent in the professional work for all the print and broadcast media practitioners anywhere in the world.

It is expected, however, that the more mature personalities involved in the ongoing petty rift starting from Mr. Donaire Sr. ought to initiate the ?reach? and manifest understanding in a much greater degree like compassionate fathers longing and caring for our wayward and rebellious sons and daughters during their ?prodigal? days.

Lest things get undesirably nasty and ?disgraceful? in the end for both parties, a simple enlightened call from all the fathers concerned and a humble sincere gesture of remorse from the young Donaires will do the work to lift the ?yoke? that potentially may get in the way towards Greatness which good results may redound to the benefit of boxing fans and every Filipino in a way that may not be measured by anything material or temporal.

The issue is far more personal for whoever is affected, should everyone decides to go beyond himself and break free from the small (prideful) world to a larger (honorable) one.

What a time and opportunity to grow bigger and taller!
