It will be a fight to remember when ALA fighter Milan Milendo takes on Colombian former world champion Carlos Tamara this Saturday at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel topbilling the "Pinoy Pride 2: Best of the Best" boxing extravaganza.

According to Tamara's trainer Edgar Sanchez, the match-up is sure to be a Fight of the Year candidate as Milendo's counter-punching style would be a perfect match to Tamara's aggressiveness and legendary stamina.

"It's going to be a good, good fight. This is has the makings of a Fight of the Year," declared Sanchez at yesterday's final press conference held at the Aegean Room of Waterfront Hotel. "After we win this Saturday, we want to come back again to be the main event, while Milendo can be the co-main event," pleaded Sanchez, confident that Milendo will have no chance against his ward.

Tamara, who spoke in Espanol, said he has the longest preparation for this fight, even longer when he trained for the Brian Viloria bout where he knocked out the Fil-Hawaiian early this year.

For this fight, the former IBF junior flyweight king trained in New Jersey close to the Bronx, and trained with Vic Darchinyan conqueror Joseph "Kingkong" Agbeko and Carlos Sambrano.

"He sparred about 50 more rounds than he did for the Viloria fight," added Sanchez, who was also at Tamara's corner when he conquered Viloria.

Milendo, meanwhile, appeared calm and composed all throughout the presscon, telling Tamara to "just do it, dont say it."

Milendo predicted that Tamara might be only good for five rounds, stating that the Colombian fighter does not faze him one bit.

Fuentes, the power-punching ALA fighter, will be making the third defense of his OPBF title after winning the title in Tokyo and making two successful defenses in Tokyo and Nagoya. This will be Fuentes' fifth bout this year, indicating his busy schedule under the ALA banner.

Ex-IBF world minifly kingpin Condes, now under the ALA Promotions banner, will also be seeing action in his second bout under the promotional outfit, having won a unanimous verdict over Indon Sofyan Effendi back in August.

Ex-OPBF champ Randy "Komong Bato" Suico goes up against Manny Pacquiao sparmate Arniel Tinampay while Dodie Boy Penalosa Jr takes on Jomar Torreon. This is a highly-anticipated match up between a puncher in Suico and the skillful former Philippine welterweight champion Tinampay.

Official weigh-in takes place today at the SM Atrium starting 11AM open to the public.
