LAS VEGAS--Z "The Dream" Gorres and Czar Amonsot both looked in tremendous shape with less than three weeks left before they take on separate foes at the Orleans Casino here.
Gorres and Amonsot had met up with promoter Sammy "Don King" Gello-ani and Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista at Los Angeles Airport here, and both indicated they have been preparing well and hard for their February 3 bouts.
The duo were accompanied by business agent Michael Koncz and Filipino trainer Edito "Ala" Villamor.
Villamor, who has been overseeing the duo's preparation along with renowned trainer Freddie Roach, had confirmed to this writer that his wards have been whipping themselves into fine form, indicating they cannot afford to lose at this time of their careers.
Gorres (22-1-1, 12KO's) is set to tangle with Jose Alfredo Tirado, while Amonsot (13-1-1, 10 KO's)goes up against Mexican Antonio Wong.
Tirado, managed by Erik Morales' father Jose, had lost by technical decision to Filipino Diosdado Gabi last September 23.
Wong, who holds an 11-5-1, 7 KO's record, hails from Tijuana, Mexico but now lives in Las Vegas.
