BAUTISTA MOTORS TO SYCUAN RESORT TODAY

In prime shape and ready to rumble, WBO Asia Pacific bantam king Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista, together with his team, is scheduled to depart for the Sycuan Resort and Casino in El Cajon, San Diego, California today as he prepares for his December 23 showdown with Mexican Gerardo 'Locomotora' Espinoza in a Top Rank card to be aired by Telefutura.

The 18-year-old Bautista will be accompanied in the two-hour trip by his manager, Cebu sportsman Tony Aldeguer, trainer Edito 'Ala' Villamor, and business agent Michael Koncz.

Villamor, in an email to the media, informed that the fight venue is a 2-hour drive from Aldeguer's residence in West Covina, Los Angeles where Bautista and himself are staying. The group will leave after lunch.

World-renowned trainer Freddie Roach and conditioning coach Justin Fortune, who will both be at the corner of Bautista together with Villamor, are set to rendesvouz witht he group on Friday morning.

Gates for the Dec. 23 card will open at 5:15pm with the main event featuring the unbeaten Urbano Antillon against Fernando Trejo while the Bautista-Espinoza tussle will serve as the chief support.
