Promoter Sammy Gello-ani has announced a big card for tomorrow at Arayata Sports Complex in Tanza, Cavite as Filipino Jose Ocampo takes on compatriot Allan Tanada for the WBO Asia Pacific Youth superfeatherweight title.
Ocampo came in at 129 lbs, while Tanada checked in at 130 lbs during official weigh-in today supervised by the hard-working WBO Asia Pacific chairman Leon Panoncillo, who was also in Mlang, North Cotabato last week for a WBO double-header.
Ocampo, 12-3-1, 7KO's, is unbeaten in his last 11 fights, and looks to continue his winning spree over the durable and unbeaten Tanada (7-0-2, 4KO's).
"This is a test for both fighters, who are on winning streaks. They are both prepared, and expect a quality fight tomorrow," said promoter Sammy Gello-ani.
In the co-feature, lightweight Rey Labao (18-2, 13KO's) takes on hard-luck Jaypee Ignacio in a tenner. Labao is hoping to get an important fight if he comes out victorious tomorrow.
In an action-packed undercard, Arnel Dunal battles Cris Alag; Edward Penerio goes up against Elbert Guardanio; Rodney Rafols takes on Cerilo Espino; Adonis Cabalquinto squares off with Jury Noda.
Also on the card: Froilan Saludar versus Salvador Layson; Jerwin Ancajas against Rodney Quizon; Dennie Tubieron versus Allan Ranada; Carlos Suelo versus Miguel Royo; Angelo Marcial against Ian Roxaz; Conrado Tanamor verus Benjamin Bartolome.
