Just minutes ago, Philippine no. 2 lightweight Dexter "Dinamita" Delada emerged from the Games and Amusements Board office in Cebu City, looking relaxed and confident of beating RP lightweight boss Fernando Montilla when they tangle on Saturday at the New San Andres Civic and Sports Center.

Delada did a mock weigh-in at the local GAB office, and came in at 134 lbs, a pound below the regulatory weight limit. Official weigh-in is set on Friday at the GAB main office in Makati City, to be supervised by boxing division chief Emmanuel Flores.

Tomorrow, Delada (14-1, 10 KO's) and trainer Brix Flores will fly to Manila in time for the weigh-in.

Delada and Montilla tangle in the 12-rounder mainer of the "Fight for Love" card being put up by North Cotabato Governor Emmanuel Pinol and friends to raise funds for Luisito Espinosa's legal battle aimed at collecting a huge amount from promoters of his 1997 fight with Carlos Rios held in South Cotabato.

"It's going to be an exciting card," said Governor Pinol, who is teaming up with BID Commissioner Al Fernandez, journalist Recah Trinidad and boxing scholar Hermie Rivera for this show.

The co-main event will feature RP superfly king Eric Barcelona defending his title against Almario Stable's Celso Danggod.

Delada-Montilla will be aired live over at NBN-4 starting at 9:15 PM on Saturday.

The other exciting bouts pit Mercito Gesta against Rey Llagas (superfly, 8 rds); Edrin Dapudong versus Rommel Bongon (strawweight, 8 rds); Dennis Juntillano against Robert Rubillar (light flyweight, 8 rds); Rex Penalosa versus Albert Alcoy (light flyweight, 8 rds); Tommy Terado against Danny Llanasa (strawweight, 8 rds).

Also set to trade leathers in the curtain raiser are Reche Mepranum and Samson Martinez Jr. (110 lbs, 4 rds).
