ALA fighter Mark Jason Melligen wants no less than redemption when he takes on Michel Rosales in a grudge rematch on July 3 in a 10-round bout slated in Reno, Nevada.

Rosales had beaten Melligen in a very close split decision verdict late last year at the Mandalay Bay House of Blues, and Las Vegas-based trainer Tony Martin believes his ward Melligen will come in more mentally prepared this time around.

"As you well know Mark lost against Rosales in a split decision. Now he has the chance to redeem the loss. I can assure you that Rosales will be stepping in the ring with a fully focused Melligen, unlike the last time they met. We aim to finish the fight early," informed Martin from his lairs in Las Vegas.

Melligen is set to depart for the United States on June 6, said ALA chief trainer Edito Villamor, who will work with Martin to prepare the Bacolod-raised welterweight for this important fight.

Since his loss to Rosales, Melligen bounced back by racking up wins over Raymond Gatica and Norberto Gonzalez this year with both fights taking place in Las Vegas.
