NISHIOKA STOPS BANGOYAN!

Filipino Balweg Bangoyan failed in his attempt to wrest the WBC superbantam title after he was stopped in the fifth round by reigning champion Toshiaki Nishioka of Japan minutes ago at the Nihon Budokan in Tokyo.
A big left landed clearly on the jaw of the Filipino challenger, and referee Gelasio Perez Huerta had to stop the bout to prevent him from further injury.
