FATHER OF KAMEDA BROTHERS BANNED BY JAPAN BOXING COMMISSION

Showing the kind of decisiveness and proper supervision and control it is known for, the Japan Boxing Commission has banned the father of WBA flyweight champion Daiki Kameda and former WBC champion Koki Kameda following his abuse of officials after Koki lost his title to Thailand?s Pongsaklek Wonjongkam last March 27 in Tokyo.
Under the JBC decision Shiro Kameda has been banned from attending bouts in Japan besides losing his cornerman?s license. Kameda was also barred from being at ringside as a spectator or in the dressing room.
The executive secretary of the Japan Boxing Commission Tsuyoshi Tasykochi said after a meeting of the ethics committee that Shiro Kameda had ?committed intimidation, which is a menacing antisocial act."
Yasukochi said "We unanimously adopted the severe measures" even as he made it clear the commission would also reject any application from Kameda for any other kind of boxing license.
The 44 year old Kameda erupted after his eldest son Koki lost his WBC title and verbally abused referee Guadalupe Garcia, WBC supervisor Edward Thangarajah and the JBC secretary Yasukochi in the dressing room.
Kameda used intemperate language and claimed that the referee should have deducted two points from the Thai boxer for head-butting in the fifth round although referee Garcia deducted only one point after telling Kameda's side by mistake that the Thai had deserved to lose two.
Kameda also yelled at Yasukochi, who served as a WBC supervisor at the bout, telling him: "You will know what happens if you make me mad. I will have your head. You hear me, stupid?"
World Boxing Commission president Don Jose Sulaiman also took a dim view of Kameda?s behavior and said the WBC will not tolerate tarnishing of the sport and its officials. Kameda has been summoned to a hearing in Mexico City.
The JBC had already barred Kameda indefinitely as a cornerman after he told his second son, Daiki, to fight dirty in his failed attempt at a world title in 2007.
Daiki, now 21, was suspended for a year but came back to become the WBA flyweight champion by outpointing Thailand's Denkaosen Kaowichit in Kobe in February.
"For us, our dad is the best dad in the world," Koki Kameda said on his blog Tuesday. "We will work hard and make his life easier."
